Pellet Fireplace Inserts

Looking into pellet fireplace inserts?  Pellet fireplace inserts are something else to consider if you don’t want to get a stove that is set inside of your fireplace, if you want the whole thing cordoned off, then that look can be achieved with pellet fireplace inserts.

These things being pellet fireplaces take pellets rather than firewood, pellets are often created from the leftover scraps at sawmills.  They are small little wood pieces that are no more than 1/2” that can be chucked into the fireplace to use as wood.  These things are not only cheap, but they produce very little pollution and so they are a great alternative to firewood.

Now if you’re looking for some pellet fireplace inserts but you’re not sure which one to go with, we’re going to review a few of them here to help you make your decision:

1.  EF3Bi Fireplace Insert

This model is made by the company “Enviro” and out of all the models, this one produces the most heat.  This thing has up to 40,000 BTU’s of heat input all packed into a beautiful black with gold trim design.  This thing burns at 75.8% efficiency, has an easy to use hopper lid handle, a heavy duty heat exchanger, large ash pan, 55 pound hopper with easy access lid and weighs in at 253 pounds.

You can optionally get a 24Kt gold door cover, a nickel door cover, 24Kt gold Trivet, nickel trivet, zero clearance kit and an oversize panel with black trim.

If you want the best insert this is a top contender.

2.  The Meridian Fireplace Insert

This is another powerful option.  This is made of cast iron and is durable and attractive.  This has a 160cfm convection fan that helps the unit deliver 45,000 BTU’s of heat while managing to be 75.8% efficient.

This also has a cast iron firebox brick liner, fully automatic controls, painted trim and door accents, bay arched door and a standard 300 watt ignitor.

3.  The Milan Fireplace Insert

One last insert to consider is this one.  It will be more affordable than the others yet it still delivers 34,000 BTU and heats 800 – 1,500 square feet which is plenty of space.  This also has a quiet convection system and a 160cfm variable speed fan.

A few other features you get with this are a 55 pound hopper, sliding hopper lid for easy refueling, an ash pan latch and a multi source air wash that helps keep the glass on the front of the stove clear longer.

Now there are other plenty of other pellet fireplace inserts to consider, but these ones are some good ones to start with.
