Log Burning Stove - For That Classic Look

Looking for a good log burning stove?  A log burning stove can add an element of class and style to any room it is placed in, it’s not always optimal to just throw some logs into a bare fireplace and light it up.  If you want to start a fire within your home but do so in a more controlled manner, your best bet is to get a hold of a good log burning stove.

Now when installing this you’re going to have to make sure you get your math straight when trying to figure out the right height for your draft requirements.  It is a bit hard to load so you will want to raise it up a bit, like with say 16x8 concrete blocks so that you can open and load it while on 1 knee.
This thing burns all night though, 8-9 hours with some adjusting of the front air flow.  The cheapest I’ve found this one available for is $700.

2.  Napoleon 1100PL EPA Small Cast Iron Wood Stove with Legs

Here’s another great buy at only $607-$710 depending on where you buy it from.  This is very easy to install as there are only two pieces to it.  This is light, easy to handle and the air wash technology combined with the high temperatures  in this allow you to watch the fire burn through the glass without anything obstructing your view.

This stove is situated upon 4 brass or silver colored legs and has a beautifully decorated window with a latch right next to it which opens way to the fire. 

3.  Hudson River Catskill Freestanding Wood Stove - CATSKILL CLASSIC

Here’s another log burning stove to consider, it is a freestanding stove that is small and cast in iron.  It has a vintage style hat will work with any décor, it’s a compact yet powerful heating unit.  This thing has a one piece full view glass door, flue connector, stainless steel secondary air chamber, 68% efficiency and has the capacity to heat a 1,100 square foot room for 7 hours at a time. 

This thing deals 35,000 BTU’s in a package that is 22”W x 16”D x 25.25”H.
